Step 1
Gather Equipment and Prepare Fertiliser Solution

fertiliser for your plants, measuring tools, protective gear (gloves, goggles), and clean water. -
Choose Suitable Fertiliser: Select a water-soluble fertiliser suitable for your plant type and growth stage. Review the
manufacturer’s instructions for mixing ratios.
Step 2
Prepare Fertiliser Solution
- Measure Fertiliser: Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines to measure the correct amount of fertiliser.
- Mix with Water: Select a water-soluble fertiliser suitable for your plant type and growth stage. Review the manufacturer’s instructions for mixing ratios.
Step 3
Prepare the Watering Can
- Attach Fine Rose/Nozzle: Attach a fine rose or nozzle to the spout of the watering can. This helps distribute the fertiliser solution evenly and gently.
- Stir Solution (if needed): Before applying, give the solution a gentle stir to ensure the fertiliser remains evenly mixed with the water.
Step 4
Apply Fertiliser

Position Can and Pour: Hold the watering can comfortably and at an appropriate height above the plants. Pour the fertiliser solution gently and evenly around the base of the plants.

Control Flow: Adjust the rate of pouring to ensure that the fertiliser is applied uniformly and does not excessively saturate the soil or cause runoff.

Cover Plants Thoroughly: Ensure that each plant receives an adequate amount of the fertiliser solution without creating puddles or runoff.
Step 5
Clean Up
- Rinse Can: After application, thoroughly rinse the watering can with clean water to remove any remaining fertiliser residue.
- Store Properly: Store the watering can in a dry and secure location, avoiding any contamination from other substances.
